Youth

St. Alban’s Youth Group meets in our Youth Room on Sunday’s at 10.a.m. during the Sunday Service and occasionally on a Friday evening.  Once a month on Sunday morning we join the worshipping congregation upstairs. The Youth Group is aimed at Grade 8-12 (High School age) and all young people are welcome.

We begin with tea, coffee or hot chocolate and a catch up! When we meet, we play games, get to know each other and talk about important issues. We like to cook and eat together, enjoying fellowship and learning key skills in cooking as well as hospitality.  Eating together in fellowship was a key part of what Jesus did with his disciples and so we also enjoy taking part in eating (lots!) and building community. We also give back to the Church community through baking bread and helping out at Church Events such as Church fund raisers.  There also opportunities for volunteer leadership from youth or community members.

We organize various events, including trips and social events and are hoping to organize a yearly Residential that will include outdoor pursuits, Sessions and Worship as well as lots of fun and games. We also attend many Diocesan events, including the retreats at the Sorrento center. Here are some links if you would like more information about them:
